Trisha At The Mohini Press Meet

Actor Trisha’s next film with director Saravanan of Engeyum Epoodhm fame has reportedly been titled Raangi. The story and script for the film is by AR Murugadoss, and production is by Lyca.

The spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen that an official announcement from the producers is yet to come. Pictures of the pooja function for the film were posted by Trisha on her Instagram story, and they are doing the rounds on social media.

Earlier this month, the spokesperson said, “The film has just been okay-ed by Trisha ma’am, and production work will begin after script work and dates get finalised.” Trisha reportedly plays the lead role with no male lead opposite her. A report by Deccan Chronicle mentions that the movie is a thriller, with an interesting role for the actor.

Trisha is currently working on her much awaited action film co-starring Simran. They are reportedly undergoing marine training, and will be playing sisters. The shooting will happen in Chennai, Kerala, Pichavaram, and Thailand. The film is directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan, and produced by All In Pictures. The action-entertainer marks the third collaboration between Simran and Trisha, who played the role of a friend to Simran in the two-decade-old Jodi. They featured in the Pongal release Petta this year.
