Recently, we had reported that Ayushmann Khurrana will be working with Abhishek Kapoor for an untitled love story set in North India. The latest is that actress Vaani Kapoor has been roped in as the female lead of the film. This will be her first film with the director and the actor.

Speaking about Vaani, Abhishek says, “I felt Vaani was fabulous in Befikre. She’s beautiful and a very committed actor. I am looking forward to having her and Ayushmann on set. I believe their combo will be electrifying.”
Vaani Kapoor says, “It’s a lovely heart-rending film. I have always been inspired by Abhishek Kapoor’s films and wanted to work with him at some point in my career. Likewise, this film feels like an amazing opportunity to be part of his vision.”
She adds, “Ayushmann is one of the most talented actors of our generation and I’m thrilled that our first film together will be this beautiful love story.” The film will see Ayushmann play the role of a cross-functional athlete. He will reportedly undergo a physical transformation for the role and is supremely excited about it.
The untitled film will begin filming in October and is slated for release next year.
Meanwhile, Vaani who was last seen in War will next feature in Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera and Ranjit M Tewari‘s Bell Bottom. Her 2019 action-thriller War co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff dealt with a secret agent Khalid who tracks down his boss Kabir who has turned rogue after a terrorist operation goes amiss. The film was appreciated by critics and audiences and turned out to be a blockbuster of 2019.

Vaani has also been posting throwback pictures of friends, family, and herself and endorsing a couple of brands in the lockdown period. She also recently featured on the cover page of the Bride’s Today magazine.
