Tamil film Vada Chennai‘s first look is out, revealing the name of Dhanush’s character. Playing Anbu, the actor revealed in a tweet that it’s just not his name. In Tamil, அன்பு also means ‘Love’. In the poster, he is seen looking at his ‘love’, played by Aishwarya Rajesh.

Dhanush’s Anbu is reportedly an aspiring carrom player who wants to make it big in the national-level competitions. In the first part, Anbu’s life from age 15 to 30 will be presented. A Sify report states that Aishwarya Rajesh’s name in the film is Padma, while Andrea Jeremiah’s name is Chandra.

Directed by Vetrimaaran, the film’s shooting was wrapped up last month. The film, set in the 1980s North Madras, is being made into three parts, starring Dhanush in the lead. The film will focus on a gangster but will also delve into the lives of people living in a village in North Madras, covering over three decades of their lives.
