Actress Varsha Bollamma may have joined the sets of director Atlee’s Thalapathy 63, starring Vijay and Nayanthara in the lead. Various reports say that Varsha, who was last seen as Vijay Sethupathi’s photography student in 96, plays a football player in Thalapathy 63.
The spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen, “No confirmation can be given regarding this. Actors will keep coming on board as the film proceeds, and official announcements will be made as and when required.” As reported, Vijay plays the role of a football team’s coach, and the team will be headed by Meyaadha Maan fame actress Indhuja. Reba Monica John is also a part of the cast.
The film made news this week when Selvaraj, a technician working on the sets, was injured after a focus light fell on him. He was immediately rushed to Ramachandra Hospital nearby. The spokesperson said there was nothing to worry and treatment was on. “He did not take the necessary precautions and injured himself in the process. The filmmakers are bearing the expenses for his treatment.”
Actor Vijay visited him at the hospital and photos and videos of this went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for Thalapathy 63 has denied reports about Shah Rukh Khan playing the main antagonist. These speculations have been on ever since SRK visited Atlee at his office recently.
Shooting for the movie is currently underway, reportedly in the outskirts of Chennai at EVP Film City. The makers are shooting at a rapid pace for the film to hit screens during Diwali 2019 as planned.
Thalapathy 63 will be lighter than Vijay’s previous films, the actor revealed last month. This is his third film with Atlee after Theri and Mersal, both big-budget movies. The film features a big cast including Kathir, Vivekh and Yogi Babu. Production is by Archana Kalpathi under AGS Entertainments.
AR Rahman is the music composer for the project, and Vivek is the lyricist. As for the rest of the crew, Atlee has chosen the Mersal team, including stunt director Anal Arasu and art director Muthuraj.
