The news of director Venkat Prabhu failing to repay the advance amount to actress Sona has been doing the rounds in the media for a couple of days now. According to The Times of India report, a section of people claim that the director has already repaid most of the money, but the actress has apparently incurred losses, which Venkat Prabhu has agreed to compensate as well.
Reportedly, a meeting was held with TFPC President Kalaipuli S Thanu and Nadigar Sangam President R Sarath Kumar where the problem was sorted out in a smooth manner.
Back in 2011, Venkat Prabhu had committed to directing a film under Sona’s home production house, but the movie did not materialise – and the advance money wasn’t returned, the actress alleged.
