Actor Vijay has reportedly wrapped up his portions for Atlee’s Bigil, co-starring Nayanthara. Vijay recently gifted gold rings to nearly 400 crew members who worked on the film. Bigil is in the final stages of shoot in Chennai.
According to various reports, the actor has wrapped up his portions and only five percent of the shooting is left. A massive set of the Chennai Egmore railway station was recently erected for an important sequence. The team was also at EVP Film Studios in Chennai where a football stadium was set up. Vijay was spotted at Redhills recently, and videos of him went viral.

The actor surprised the cast and crew of Bigil this week by gifting them gold rings. They took to social media to share that it was a priceless gift.
Malayalam actress Reba Monica John, Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Gayathri Reddy, Amritha Aiyer and others posted on Twitter. They are part of the 11-member football squad that Vijay’s character coaches in the film. Indhuja reportedly stars as the captain of this team.

The film’s producer Archana Kalpathi of AGS Entertainment, and crew member Aathma also posted the news on Twitter.

Vijay plays twin roles, Bigil and Michael, in the film. Bigil is speculated to be a North Chennai gangster and fisherman, and Michael will have four different looks showing his transformation from a football player and gangster to coach of a women’s football team. Nayanathara’s role is yet to be revealed, but reports say she plays a physiotherapy student in the film.

The pre-release sales of the film have reportedly already crossed Rs 220 crore, the highest for any Vijay film yet. The theatrical rights have been bagged by Screen Scene Entertainment, and overseas rights by XGen Studio and United India Exporters.
Actors Kathir, Jackie Shroff, Vivekh and Yogi Babu also star in important roles. Music is by AR Rahman, and the song ‘Singapenney’ composed by him has been among the top trends in India. The film is scheduled for release this Deepavali.
