October 1 was a day of rejoicing for Vijay fans, after his fantasy film Puli released. But, it was a day of mourning for the families of two of his staunch fans, Soundarrajan and Udhayakumar. The two died in a road accident near Tambaram, Chennai. Upon hearing the news earlier this morning, Vijay visited the two families and offered his condolences to the parents and relatives of the two fans. Vijay also extended financial assistance to the families, and told them to approach him if they need any help in the future. Despite the early hour, a large crowd of fans and onlookers gathered at the homes, forcing Vijay to leave earlier than planned. Fans praised Vijay’s gesture across social media.
