The long in the making 49-O, which marks veteran comedy actor Goundamani’s comeback, is all set to release on September 17 on Vinayaga Chathurthi. According to sources, the film was stuck in issues pertaining to the screen count. It is said that actor Vijay has lent his helping hand to his former co-star, and got in touch with distributors to ensure a smooth release for 49-O.

49-O is tipped to be a comedy-drama, directed by newcomer P Arokkiyadoss. Starring Goundamani, Chaams, Balasingh, Guru Somasundaram, Thirumurugan, Munnar Ramesh, VIS Jayapalan and Alwa Vasu in important roles. The movie will be battling out with Trisha Illana Nayanthara, Maya, Unakkenna Venum Sollu and Rajini Murugan at the box office.
