Vishnu Vishal got injured during the shoot of his upcoming movie Kaadan. The actor shared the information on Twitter.

According to reports, the actor has suffered nerve compression and injuries to his spinal cord. However, he isn’t hospitalized. The team has broken after completing a schedule in Kerala forests. The movie will resume shoot in Mumbai on January 29.

A trilingual, Kaadan is a film that revolves around the relationship between man and elephant. The movie releases as Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi and Aranya in Telugu. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, the movie features Pulkit Samrat, Rana Daggubati, Zoya Hussain and Shriya Pilgaonkar. The actress had recently replaced Kalki Koechlin who was supposed to make her Tamil debut with the movie.

Vishnu Vishal had earlier shared details about the first schedule of the movie. Announcing that the 20-day long schedule had come to an end, the actor called it the most hectic shoot of his career.

Rana Daggubati plays a mahout in the movie. He will feature in all three versions. In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, the actor opened up about his role, “Yes, I’ll need to do more for this film. I’ll be taking 15-20 days before the shoot to stay with the elephants in the jungle and get familiar with them before I start filming. At the same time, we are also doing a bunch of workshops because the story is inspired by two events, so we are trying to get as authentic as we can in the filming process.”

The film is produced by Inder Singh Bariya, Omshankar Bhagat, Ajay Rai and Sushil Tirwadkar under the banner of Trinity Pictures. Eros International will distribute the movie. Shantanu Moitra is the music composer. Oscar award-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty – he previously worked on the Malayalam movie Pazhassi Raja that was partially set in forests, is also part of the crew for Haathi Mere Saathi.
