Actor Vishnu Vishal will join hands with his Mundasupatti director Ram for a new film. A reliable source tells us that the movie will be an interesting entertainer with Vishnu playing the role of a cop for the first time. Though the film revolves around a mystery, it will be entertaining at the same time, said the source.
The actor – director duo’s Mundasupatti – a period- comedy set in the 80’s, won positive reviews from both critics and the audiences. The film was an expansion of director Ram’s short film of the same name.
The Vishnu- Ram film will be produced by Axess Film Factory which previously produced Urumeen and is currently producing Maragadha Naanayam starring Aadhi and Nikki Galrani. An official announcement about the film and details on it’s crew is expected in the next few days.
At present, Vishnu Vishal is busy juggling projects. He is working on his next production directed by debutante Muruganandham. Starring Catherine Tresa as the female lead, the film also stars Soori and will be a complete comedy. Vishnu took to Twitter this morning to announce Catherine’s inclusion in the film.

Incidentally, Vishnu and Catherine were signed for the film Veera Dheera Sooran, but the film has been shelved.
Vishnu has also begun dubbing for his upcoming release, Maaveeran Kittu directed by Suseenthiran. The film, based on real incidents set in the 80s is expected to release in the next couple of months. The film stars Sri Divya as the female lead.
