Actor Vishnu Vishal’s recent psychological thriller Ratsasan, directed by Ramkumar to be remade in Telugu by director Sudheer Varma.
According to a report in Dinamlar, the director has expressed his interest in remaking the film, however there is no official announcements yet. Ratsasan’s production house will need to greenlight the remake.
Starring Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in the lead, Ratsasan also features Kaali Venkat and Munishkanth in pivotal roles. Produced by Dilli Babu under the banner Axess Film Factory, the film has Vishnu essaying the role of a cop who is chasing a serial killer of young girls. The film has music by Ghibran.
Vishnu Vishal confirmed that he has bought the Hindi remake rights to the movie even before it hit the screens. The actor thanked his producers via a tweet last month and said that he felt confident enough with the movie that he went ahead and bought the rights without waiting to see how it performed at the box office.

Meanwhile, director Ramkumar, who also directed Mundasupatti, has confirmed his next project with Dhanush. The film will be a fantasy comedy which he hopes to wrap up in six months. While Vishnu Vishal will soon be making his Telugu debut with Aranya, where he will share screen space with Rana Daggubati. Originally directed in Tamil by Prabu Solomon as Kaadan, the movie is simultaneously being made in Hindi too under the title Haathi Mere Saathi.
On the work front he also has Silukkuvarupatti Singam directed by Chella, Veera Dheera Sooran , Jagajala Killadi by Ezhil of Thulladha Manamum Thullum fame and Idam Porul Yaeval by Seenu Ramasamy which features Vijay Sethupati and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles.
