Director Atlee has confirmed that Vivek will be a part of his upcoming film with Vijay. Tentatively titled #Thalapathy63, the shooting for the movie is currently under progress.

The announcement of Vivek’s participation in the project is the latest news to have come out of the movie camp that has been gradually divulging the details regarding the cast. Vivek has acted alongside Vijay in movies like Youth and Aathi. The duo will be joining hands 10 years after they acted in Kuruvi.
Only last week the makers had announced that Kathir was involved in the project. Apart from him, the movie also features Nayanthara in the female lead. Vijay and Nayanthara had previously starred together in Prabhu Deva’s Villu. Nayanthara had played the female lead in Atlee’s debut movie Raja Rani.

Marking Vijay and Atlee’s third union after Theri and Mersal, #Thalapathy63 was announced in November last year. Produced by Archana Kalpathy under the banner AGS Entertainment, the shooting for the movie began this month. Like Mersal, the movie is being planned as a Deepavali release.
“The entertainment we will provide through the movie will be at another level. It is going to be made on a scale unlike what anyone has done before,” said Atlee while talking to Silverscreen about his new movie.

It had been recently reported that 16 new actresses have been signed on for the film. The report also says that special training has been imparted to these actresses to help them perform the sports scenes. However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers about the said casting.
According to a report, Vijay is undergoing physical training under the guidance of a trainer for the role. Vijay is rumoured to be playing a sports coach in the film.
A R Rahman is the music composer for the project while Vivek is the lyricist. As for the rest of the crew, Atlee has chosen the Mersal team, including editor Antony Ruben, stunt director Anal Arasu and art director Muthuraj.
