Whether it’s Airlift or Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, the actor is known to go the extra length to promote his movies. He was also described as the ‘poster boy of new-age patriotism’ for his choice of films. He met the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, took part in Uttar Pradesh government’s cleanliness drive event and met Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath to promote Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. In fact, he was appointed as the brand ambassador of ‘Clean UP mission’.
For Airlift, he did the ‘mission sugarcane’ as part of which he sold sugarcane juice on the streets of Jodhpur. The money that was raised from this was donated to farming communities. He then engaged in a volleyball competition and even committed to the education of three girls.
The social work is largely for the promotion of the film. Though the actor is considered to be a conscientious citizen, it remains to be seen whether he will stay committed to the cause of hygiene and women’s health issues post the release of PadMan.
