Vishwadarshini, a resident of Royapettah in Chennai, has been booked and arrested under the POSCO Act for spreading false rumours about Vishal having an affair with a minor girl in her neighbourhood.
The rumours were spread back in 2018, when pictures and videos of Vishal jumping over a wall at night were circulated. She alleged that he spent two to three hours at her neighbour’s every day.
When pictures of them were shared on social media, a complaint was lodged by the girl’s mother, model and former child actor Gayatri Sai. The police investigation found that Vishwadarshini had a long-standing fight with her neighbour and chose to level allegations against Vishal and the girl as revenge.
Vishwadarshini had been absconding for several months. India Glitz reported that the police found her in Tiruchengode recently. They booked her under the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Gayatri shared the news on Twitter and thanked the cyber team for their investigation.

Vishal did not respond to any of these allegations. This dates back to the time when rumours were spread that he was in a relationship with actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Both of them had clarified that the rumours were untrue.
Vishal revealed earlier this year that he was in love with actress Anisha Alla Reddy. They got engaged in March, and will wed on October 9.

The actor is currently busy with his Sundar C directorial. The film was announced in January this year, with Tamannaah and Aishwarya Lekshmi of Mayaanadhi fame joining the cast; this is Aishwarya’s debut in Tamil. Jagapathy Babu, who was seen in Viswasam, reportedly plays the antagonist.
The team travelled to Turkey for a 50-day shoot in March, and returned ahead of the release of Venkat Mohan’s Ayogya, starring Vishal and Raashi Khanna. The title and release date of the new film has not been confirmed as yet. Tamannaah reportedly stars in a negative role. This is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Vishal is busy with the Nadigar Sangam elections that will take place on June 23. He will contest for the post of general secretary once again, with Nasser’s team. Elections for Tamil Film Producers’ Council, which he presides, may also be announced soon.
