Yuvan Shankar Raja Composes For Animated Hollywood Film Woolfell

After AR Rahman, Yuvan Shankar Raja becomes the second Tamil music composer to work on a Hollywood film. Woolfell, an animation film, is being directed by Prabhakaran Hariharan, grandson of legendary actor MR Radha. Woolfell is set in a futuristic world with robots, and will be a political drama. The film is already in production, and Yuvun has finished scoring the music for teaser, which will be released on November 7. Reportedly, the director had Yuvan in mind when he wrote the script for Woolfell.

Director Hariharan Prabhakaran told The New Indian Express, “The film is about a futuristic world where humans evolve to become robots, and we expect to release the film in December 2017. It will be in the league of films like Transformers.” Yuvan Shankar Raja was understandably excited about being a part of the project.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s last film was director Vishnuvardhan’s Yatchan. Prabakaran Hari Haran has also worked on Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam as an assistant special effects designer. The technical team of Woolfell includes editor Praveen KL and sound designer Kunal Rajan. Produced by Haricane Studios Private Limited & Film Grains Production, Woolfell has cinematography by Sabari Girish.
