For Dangal star Zaira Wasim, growing up in Kashmir was different, to say the least. At a recent book launch event, Wasim said:
“I was always in my own zone. I think my life was a little different from how the life of a 16-year-old person should be. My dad used to tell me stories that they used to go here and there. There is a huge hill right next to my house and I have never been there.”
Wasim also believes that teenagers are not that different from each other. “They have different stories to tell you, they have their own ideas about almost everything. So, apart from that ideology I don’t think there’s any vast difference,” she said.
Attending the launch of 15-year-old Zuni Chopra’s (daughter of director Vidhu Vinod Chopra) book, the actress admitted that it’s always nice to see a variety of opinions and views. Chopra’s book, published by Penguin Books, is set in Kashmir.
