Jon Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams Cancel Scheduled Events After Testing Positive for Covid-19

Musicians Jon Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams recently tested positive for Covid-19 following which they had to cancel their respective scheduled events.

According to Variety, American singer, guitarist and the founder of the rock band Bon Jovi, Jon Bon Jovi, was scheduled to perform at Miami Beach on Saturday night for a fan event. The audience, who had already filed in for the event, were later informed that Bon Jovi will not be able to perform, reported 7News. His band members, even though they tested negative, did not perform too out of abundance of caution.

Speaking to Variety, a representative for Bon Jovi said, “Jon is fully vaccinated and feeling fine”.

Bon Jovi’s event Runaway with JBJ, was scheduled from October 29 to 31. Put on by Runaway Tours, the event included an acoustic storyteller performance, a question and answer session and a photo opportunity with Jon, in addition to a Halloween costume welcome party.

Early in the pandemic, Bon Jovi’s keyboardist Dave Bryan had also tested positive for Covid-19. Jon had also taken part in 2020’s ‘Mask Up’ campaign, which included around 30 billboards to be displayed across New Jersey in order to, “help the most vulnerable New Jersey populations affected during COVID from mental health issues to digital divide issues to food insecurity.”

Similarly, Canadian singer and guitarist Bryan Adams had to pull out from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday after he tested positive for Covid-19. Adams was set to perform a medley of songs including It’s Only Love – a duet between Adams and Tina Turner from his 1984 album, Reckless.

He had tested positive in advance of his arrival at Cleveland for the event. Soon after, country singer Keith Urban stepped in for Adams and performed at the ceremony. Urban performed with R&B artist H.E.R. and recreated Turner and Adams’ duet.

Variety reported that a representative for Adams has confirmed the positive test and that he is fully vaccinated and showing no symptoms.
