At the trailer launch of the film, it was revealed that Srinath Ramalingam had a ‘Suriya-connection’ too. Behind Suriya’s flawless Srilankan dialogues and accent in director Venkat Prabhu’s Masss was this young director.

The trailer of Unakkenna Venum Sollu was jointly launched by Venkat Prabhu and AM Rathnam, amidst cheers and whistles. Venkat Prabhu said that he had watched the movie with his child Shivani and VJ Ramya. Both, Shivani and Ramya watched most of this spooky, yet fun film with their ears closed, said Venkat Prabhu. Music director Siva Saravanan was appreciated by all guests for his impressive work in the film. ” Unakkenna Venum Sollu is totally a horror film and I know this film was made in a shoe-string budget. I was in the same position when I made Chennai 600028. This film has all the spooky elements that you are looking for,” said Venkat Prabhu

Actor Mime Gopi shared some tit-bits about his role in the film, “Initially, someone else was chosen for my role. I was giving theatre lessons in a studio and then I got offered this role. I play a ghost rider in Unakkenna Venum Sollu.” In the movie, he will be mouthing the dialogue “Unakkenna Venum Sollu” often.

“Niroshan who designed the title is no more because of a train accident. I dedicate this trailer whole-heartedly to the departed soul”, said director Srinath Ramalingam. Srinath pursued his higher studies in United States of America. Later, he moved to Singapore where he worked in a couple of music videos, and finally, landed in Chennai.
