Amazon’s annual site wide mega sale event ‘Prime Day’ is coming on August 6 and 7. Now in its fourth year in India, Prime Day starts at midnight on Thursday, August 6, and will run for 48 hours, offering members two full days of the best in shopping, savings, and entertainment from the comfort and safety of their homes.
In terms of entertainment, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Prime Reading, and Gaming with Prime will be offering movies and series’, celebrity curated playlists, titles from top authors, and new games with multiplayer facilities starting July 22 as a pre-celebration to the designated Prime Day. The content offered is as follows:
- Five new titles on Prime Video – Gemini Man from July 22, French Biriyani from July 24, Birds of Prey from July 29, and Shakuntala Devi from July 31, and Amazon Original series Bandish Bandits from Aug 4 providing a range of International, Indian and Regional titles.
- Celebrity curated playlists on Amazon Prime Music – Named ‘My Mixtape’, the playlist comprises handpicked songs by artists like Madhuri Dixit, Shankar Mahadevan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vidya Balan, Alan Walker, Gopi Sundar and more in multiple languages.
- Eleven book titles exclusively created for Prime Day on Prime Reading – From leading authors like Ashwin Sanghi, Preeti Shenoy, Ambi Parmeswaram, Akshay Manwani, Aninya Dutta and more.
- Gaming with Prime -Members are given free access to the in-game content of newly launched popular mobile games on Prime including content on Ludo King (#1 downloaded mobile game in India) and World Cricket Championship 3. They can also connect and play with friends.
The e-commerce site also has a lot for Prime members to choose from in terms of shopping. Apart from the usual products of top brands and emerging brands, members are also offered an exclusive and unique selection of products sold by thousands of Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) during this period thereby benefitting both the SMBs and customers. Several discounts, cashback, and offers are available with respect to the same.
