Disney+ announced its list of projects that will release between June to August in a press release on Thursday. These include Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt-starrer Jungle Cruise and documentary feature film Stuntman
While in February, the streaming platform announced the release date of projects such Marvel Studios’ Loki, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and Zenimation series, Disney+ revealed the release date of over 10 of its upcoming titles.
Listed below are the premiere dates of new Disney+ projects.

June:
On Friday, the feature film Raya and the Last Dragon from Walt Disney Animation Studios will be available for all the subscribers at no extra cost. The film follows the fantasy world of Kumandra where humans and dragons co-exist peacefully. While the dragons sacrifice themselves to save humanity when an evil force threatens, the film shifts to 500 years later when the same force returns. While protagonist Raya tries to find the last dragon to fight the battle, the film explores concepts of trust and teamwork.
The short film Us Again will also premiere on Friday. As per the streaming platform, the film focuses on an elderly man and “his young-at-heart wife” who rekindle their youthful passion for life and each other on one magical night.
While Marvel Studios’ Loki and Walt Disney Animation Studios’s Zenimation (season 2), will release on June 9 and 11 respectively, other releases include Luca (June 18) and The Mysterious Benedict Society, and Wolfgang, which will release on June 25. Disney and Pixar’s original feature film Luca is a “coming-of-age story” that follows a young boy and his experiences of an “unforgettable summer” and what happens after he shares it with his newly found best friend.
July:
Monsters At Work series that is a sequel to the 2001 American computer-animated comedy film Monsters Inc. Monsters At Work will premiere on July 2.
Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow will release simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with premier access on July 9. It will be the first film in “Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe”.

July 16 will see the release of Turner & Hooch. It is a series that narrates the story of an ambitious, buttoned-up US Marshal who inherits a big unruly dog and soon realises that the dog he didn’t want might be the partner he needs.

July 23 will see three releases- Stuntman, Playing with Sharks, and Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life. Executive produced by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia from Seven Bucks Productions and directed by Kurt Mattila, Stuntman is based on veteran Hollywood stuntman Eddie Braun. It was screened at the LA Film Festival and won the Audience Award choice winner for Best Documentary Feature.
Playing with Sharks, directed by Sally Aitken, showcases the life of Valerie Taylor, the woman whose work has become the basis of what we know about sharks today. From National Geographic Documentary Films and two-time Emmy-nominated director Sally Aitken, Playing with Sharks will have glimpses of underwater archival footage, along with interviews with Valerie herself. It follows her trajectory from champion spearfisher to passionate shark protector.
Combining classic-style cartoon comedy with contemporary storytelling, Chip ‘N’ Dale: Park Life will premiere in 36 seven-minute episodes directed by Jean Cayrol and produced by Marc du Pontavice at Xilam Animation.

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt’s Jungle Cruise will premiere on July 30. The adventure film is a “rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon” where a riverboat champion and an English researcher aiming to uncover an ancient tree with healing abilities.
On July 30, the streaming platform will also premiere the series Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts, that showcases the journeys of Hollywood’s pathbreaking women, and the second season of Short Circuit by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Short Circuit is an experimental, innovative program where anyone at the studio can pitch an idea and get selected to create their own short film. Season 2 features five all-new short films, as per the streaming platform.
The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse (Batch 2) will premiere on the same day.
August:
Growing Up Animal will premiere on August 20. The six-episode series from National Geographic features stories following the development of baby animals on the journey from the safety of the womb to the challenges of the wild, as per Disney+.
