The trailer of actors Bhumi Pednekar and Konkona Sen Sharma starrer Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare has dropped now. The comedy-drama will premiere on Netflix on September 18. The film deals with two rebellious cousins on their journey to seek independence and freedom to embrace their desires. Set in Greater Noida, the film reportedly celebrates womanhood and talks about several social stigmas.
We’re introduced to cousins – a married Dolly (Konkana Sen Sharma), who doesn’t seek pleasure with her husband and seems to have found solace in a delivery guy (Amol Parashar) and Kitty, who is pious yet works as a phone sex operator, earns big money, and hooks up with Vikrant Massey through the same. What follows is the families of the girls confronting them, the girls exploring what they desire by defying the norm, a slight pricking of the ego of Dolly’s husband and Kitty’s cousin-in-law Amit (Aamir Bashir), and tears, pain, and happiness.
