What’s New This Week: 8 Films And Shows Releasing on OTT Platforms This Week

This week, BookMyShow has been creating the buzz with its OTT venture. Indian DC fans can now sink their teeth into the upcoming superhero film, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, through BookMyShow’s streaming platform, Stream.

In February, BookMyShow entered into the OTT space with its transactional video-on-demand platform called BookMyShow Stream. While films that released in theatres, including Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and Wonder Woman 1984, were streamed on the platform, Stream will now release Snyder’s Justice League. The film can also be streamed on Hungama Play, Tata Sky and iTunes.

The film will release at 12:31 pm on Thursday.

Here are eight films and shows, including Snyder’s Justice League, that will release on OTT platforms this week:

1. Zack Snyder’s Justice League – BookMyShow Stream (March 18)

In Zack Snyder’s Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne aligns forces with Diana Prince with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves difficult, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts, allowing them to come together and finally form a league of heroes.

2. The Falcon And The Winter Soldier – Disney+ Hotstar (March 19)

Continuing from where Avengers – The Endgame left off, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier features Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, and Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier who decide to team up and work together, when a new global threat launches them into an unexpected mission that may hit too close to home.

3. The Wife – Zee5 (March 19)

This film revolves around a young married couple who buy a new house and hope to start a family soon. However, when she is left alone in the house while her husband goes out for work, the wife starts noticing supernatural occurrences around her.

4. Waffles + Mochi – Netflix (March 16)

Featuring former US First Lady Michelle Obama alongside two puppets, Waffles and Mochi, the show will have them discover, cook, and eat delicious food from all over the world. Obama, who plays a supermarket owner, and the puppets will embark on global ingredient missions, traveling to kitchens, restaurants, farms, and homes all over the world, cooking up recipes with everyday ingredients alongside renowned chefs, home cooks, kids, and celebrities.

5. Sky Rojo – Netflix (March 19)

Sky Rojo revolves around Coral, Wendy and Gina, who go on the run in search of freedom while being chased by Romeo, their pimp from Las Novias Club, and his henchmen. Together, the women embark on a frantic, chaotic journey during which they must face dangers of all kinds and live every second as if it were their last, while strengthening their friendship and discovering the most important thing: that together they are stronger and have more options to recover their lives.

6. Formula 1: Drive to Survive season 3 – Netflix (March 19)

From the makers of Senna and Amy, this series will reveal the true story of the sport, which not only deals with the fight to be number one, but also the battle for the heart, soul, and direction of this multi-billion-dollar business.

7. Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal – Netflix (March 17)

Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal features reenactments, that drive this documentary investigating the mastermind behind a scam to get the kids of rich and famous families into top US universities.

8. Under Suspicion: Uncovering the Wesphael Case – Netflix (March 17)

This docuseries follows the high-profile case of Belgian politician Bernard Wesphael, who was accused of murdering his wife in 2013.
