RedditWhatsapp

Saahasam, a remake of the Telugu film Julai, has been in production for almost 2 years now. Directed by Arun Raj Varma, the film faced several delays in the past, but is now scheduled to release on February 5. After Mambattiyan in 2011, actor Prashanth is back on screen with the same charm. The first look posters and the trailer portrays the 42-year-old actor as a 30-year-old in an action-comedy venture.

The trailer hints that the hero, Prashanth, has three goals in his life. The first and foremost is his family, followed by his girlfriend Madhu, and lastly, Bittu. Who is Bittu and what crime is he involved in? How does  the hero get entangled in a fatal situation, and how gets out of it forms the story. In the trailer, we don’t get to see any close-up shots of the Australian beauty, Amanda. Thamahe n’s songs are catchy, but they sound like a re-hash of his Telugu songs. Nargis Fakhri’s special song is definitely something to watch out for its elegant choreography.

Saahasam boasts an impressive supporting cast including Nasser, Thulasi, Sonu Sood, Thambi Ramaiah, Devadarshini, Vasmsi Krishna, Kota Srinivasa Rao and many more. Produced by Staar Movies, Saahasam has cinematographer Shaji Kumar and editor Don Max as a part of the technical team.
