On director CV Sridhar’s birth anniversary, our song of the day is ‘Ore Naal Unai Naan’ from the 1978 film Ilaimai Oonjal Aadukirathu. The Ilaiyaraaja classic is a romantic melody sung by SPB and Vani Jayaram, set to lyrics by Vaali. It opens to a guitar and drums segment and has violin solo portions that stand out. Kamal and Sripriya star as lovers, and this was also one of the few super-hits featuring both Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth.
