Director Bala’s Tharai Thappattai’s trailer is out, and it looks like the film is on the lines of his previous ventures Sethu, Paradesi and Naan Kadavul – A revenge drama with intense emotional moments, violence, and complex characters.
Varalaxmi and Sasikumar play Karagattam artistes in the film. Their characters, as we see in the trailer, go through harrowing experiences in the film, which is set in a rural backdrop.
Tharai Thappattai is Ilaiyaraaja’s 1000th film as a music director. The folkish tunes the musician has scored for the film is one of the highlights of the trailer. The supporting cast of Tharai Thappattai includes Pragathi Guruprasad, Satish Kaushik, Amudhavanan, Kavya Shah, Studio 9 producer RK Suresh and Anandhi. Chezhiyan has handled the cinematography and G Sasikumar has edited the film.
