The trailer of Freaky Ali, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s most commercial film till date, is out, and it looks promising. Produced by Salman Khan and directed by his brother and actor Sohail Khan, Freaky Ali is about Ali (Siddiqui), who is a ‘cricketer by passion, gangster by profession and a golfer by chance’.
The trailer introduces the quirky side of Ali through various comical situations he gets caught in. Amy Jackson plays the female lead in the film and Arbaaz Khan, another Khan sibling, plays a pivotal role.
Siddiqui had played an interesting role in Salman Khan’s 2015 film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. One of the busiest actors in the industry at the moment, Siddiqui has a number of projects in the pipeline. He was last seen in Ribhu Dasgupta’s Teen, alongside Amitabh Bachchan. He is playing an important role in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie, Raees.
Sohail Khan’s last directorial venture was Jai Ho (2014), starring Salman Khan in the lead. Freaky Ali is scheduled to release in theatres on 9 September, the same day as Katrina Kaif’s Baar Baar Dekho.
