Doctor-turned-actor Power Star Srinivasan will launch a political party and contest in the Tamil Nadu state assembly elections. In an interview to Deccan Chronicle, the actor revealed that he has about one crore fans across the state and he will employ his fans to carry out electoral activities through his fan-club called Power Star Thalamai Narpani Mandram. He further added that he will contest as an independent candidate and will avoid forming alliances. “I have been working towards my goal of getting into politics for quite a while,” he said.
Srinivasan will next be seen in director Shankar’s I and the star has about 12 more films in the pipeline.
