Hello, and welcome to a new edition of the Silverscreen weekly newsletter. Thank you for subscribing.
Perhaps you’d like to know that we met this guy who’s universally liked and has twelve packs and can make us say Kal Ho Na Ho, even though we’ve never really understood what it meant. So, Shah Rukh Khan came to town and charmed us all. Deepika Padukone was there as well and our photographer, intrepid as always, managed to capture them both at their best.
We had a nice little chat with Lakshmy Ramkrishnan, ahead of the release of her second directorial venture, Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe. We also interviewed the forthright Bobby Simha, who talked to us a little about his bromance with Karthik Subbaraj and a lot about his love for Thalaivar. Fast forward a few days and we got a chance to meet Harikrishnan, better known as the eccentric Johnny from Madras. While the upcoming actor had a tendency to apologise a lot, at the end of the day, he won us over with his charming anecdotes and intense dedication to his role.
And now, photos.
Priya Anand re-launched a store, making our post-processing team ecstatic. We also got to see Andrea Jeremiah again, when she did her bit for the Kashmir flood victims. Also awesome was the actual concert last Saturday. We’ve got some cool HQ pictures of Andrea, Raai Lakshmi and everyone else who came out to support the cause.
But what we’re most excited about are the upcoming Deepavali releases. Poojai and Kaththi are slated to release this Wednesday and we’re looking forward to watching them soon.
