Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is back in news. Reportedly, the director has started working on the third instalment of his most acclaimed film Gangs Of Wasseypur. A Hindustan Times report says that Kashyap has asked writer-actor-turned-director Zeishan Qadri to write the film’s script.

Zeishan Qadri, who was the co-writer of the first two instalments of Gangs Of Wasseypur, is the director of Meeruthiya Gangsters. “After watching my directorial debut, Meeruthiya Gangsters, Anurag sir asked me to write and direct Wasseypur 3,” Qadri has been quoted by Hindustan Times as saying. Apparently, he is planning to take the real story forward. Qadri played the role of the hot-headed ‘Definite’ in the first part of the film.
Gangs Of Wasseypur, the entire film, was five hours long. It was released in Indian theatres as two parts, but premiered at the 65th Cannes International Film Festival in May 2012 as a single film.
Kashyap’s recent film Bombay Velvet, starring Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead, had flopped at box-office.
