‘Puthiya Mugham’ Director Diphan Dies

Malayalm film director Diphan passed away earlier today at a private hospital in Kochi. He was 45. The director was under treatment for liver cirrhosis and kidney failure. The director had been busy with the post-production work on Sathya, when he was admitted at the hospital three days ago. Reports indicate that he did not respond to treatment, and ultimately succumbed to the illness. 

A report in South Live states the director will be cremated at his hometown, Thiruvananthapuram.

Diphan entered the Malayalam film industry by assisting prominent director Shaji Kailas. His movies Puthiya Mugham starring Prithiviraj and Dolphins Bar with Suresh Gopi were runaway hits.
