Actress Subikhsha, who was last seen in Vijay Milton’s Kadugu, has been roped in to play the female lead in Vettai Nai. She will star opposite RK Suresh in the movie, which will be helmed by Jai Shankar.

The Annakodi actress, speaking to DC, said that it will be a ‘village-based script’ and she will play an “innocent” girl. “The story will chronicle the problems I face after marriage. The script narrated by Jai Shankar piqued my interest, and it is a powerful role to portray.”
The movie will go on floors on April 26 in Kodaikanal.
Subiksha will also star in Seemathanni opposite Vidharth. The movie will be directed by debutant Vijay Mohan and is a period film set in 1985. “I play a slum dweller, and the film’s shooting will commence in May,” she said.
