Selvaraghavan, who has been on a self-imposed hiatus of sorts, is back to making films. The director, whose last couple of projects were huge box office disasters, has been lying low for the past few months. He began Alaivarisai with Silambarasan and Trisha earlier this year, but that project too was dropped.
While Selvaraghavan had recently declared that he wanted some time to himself, and his family, there’s been a turnaround. His wife, Geethanjali, who is also busy with a project of her own, announced on Twitter that her husband is making a film.

According to our sources, Selvaraghavan is working on a story, and is keen on roping in close associates, Arvind Krishna and Yuvan Shankar Raja for the project. What’s more, the director even posted a photo on Twitter, of the three of them ‘catching up’, leading many to believe that there might be a movie in the offing after all. When contacted, Selvaraghavan’s spokesperson said, “he is concentrating on something right now, but at this stage, we are not willing to reveal anything.”
Selvaraghavan’s actor brother, Dhanush is expected to bankroll the project, and will make an announcement soon.
