Director H Vinoth’s (Sathuranga Vettai, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Nerkonda Paarvai) film with Ajith Kumar that was called Thala 60 until yesterday is officially Valimai. It joins the list of Ajith movies that start with the letter V — Vivegam, Visawasam, Veeram and Vedhalam.
Filmmaker Srinath’s Anbulla Ghilli has been in the spotlight for being a dog-based film. The story will reportedly be narrated through the eyes of a Labrador, named ‘Ghilli’. After collaborating with Vishal on his previous two releases – Irumbu Thirai and Sandai Kozhi 2, Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose music for the actor’s upcoming movie with Anand. The film, initially rumoured to be a sequel to the actor’s 2017 hit Irumbu Thirai, is based on a fresh script, said the actor’s spokesperson.
Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who was also one of the co-producers of Nayanthara’s Kolayuthir Kaalam clarified that he is not composing music for the movie. V Mathiyalagan, who had bought the movie from the original producers, has now hired Sam CS to compose the music, reports IFlicks.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is all set to score the music for Maari 2, the sequel to the 2015 Balaji Mohan film starring Dhanush and Kajal Aggarwal. The music composer will be collaborating with Dhanush after almost a decade, the last two films being Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram (2007) and Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008). The announcement was made on Christmas day.
