Actor Sidharth Shukla’s autopsy, which was performed last night at a Mumbai hospital, found no injuries on the body, reported NDTV. Sources told the news organisation that a viscera analysis will establish the cause of his death.
The actor died at the age of 40 on Thursday after reportedly suffering a massive heart attack. An official from Cooper Hospital in Mumbai informed PTI that the actor was brought dead to the hospital.
According to the NDTV report, a team of three doctors carried out Shukla’s post-mortem examination, which was recorded on video. Sources told the media outlet that “no external or internal injuries were found.” The viscera samples have been sent for chemical analysis. “A histopathology (examination of the tissues) will be done and only after that the cause of death will be clear,” added the sources.
The report also stated that according to his friends, Shukla had complained of uneasiness on the night before his demise. When he did not wake up the next morning, a family doctor was called in, who advised that he be taken to a hospital.
The late actor’s family earlier informed the Mumbai Police on Thursday that he was not under any ‘mental pressure’ and they do not suspect any foul play in his sudden demise.
His PR team requested privacy for the family in their time of grief. “As Sidharth’s PR team, we humbly request the media to draw a line and give his family and loved ones space and let them grieve. We are all in pain! We are as shocked as you are! And all of us knew Sidharth was a private person, so please respect his privacy and his family’s privacy,” their statement said.
