The trailer of Abhinay Deo’s film Blackमेल (Blackmail, Blackmale) is out, featuring Irrfan Khan as Dev. He plays a cuckold husband who, instead of confronting his wife (Kirti Kulhari) and her lover, Arunoday Singh, resorts to anonymously blackmailing them.
Things get messy when he starts getting blackmailed and soon enough, everybody starts blackmailing each other leading to a lot of confusion, death, and running around with a brown paper bag on the head.
Deo, incidentally, had made his directorial debut with Delhi Belly, a genre similar to his upcoming film. Quirky, loud, and lots of sex and comedy, Delhi Belly also featured a character (played by Shenaz Treasurywala) whose face was covered with a paper bag as she gets embroiled in the chase of diamonds. In Blackमेल , Irrfan is seen with face covered with a paper bag.
Apart from Khan, Kulhari, and Singh, the film stars Divya Dutta, Omi Vaidya, Anuja Sathe, Pradhuman Singh Mall, Gajraj Rao and others. The film is slated for an April 6 release.
