A member of the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association (TNFDA), named Murali, has filed a case against the TNFDA on account of a new rule, which states that to compete for the posts of President and Secretary, a candidate must have directed at least five films, and should have paid subscription fees for at least 10 years.
The Madras High Court has consequently summoned the Association’s secretary, director Vikraman. Vikraman and his colleagues RK Selvamani, P Vasu, and KS Ravikumar had been elected unopposed in late June this year.
