Director and scriptwriter Vikramaditya Motwane is all set to direct a superhero film, based on a character co-created by comic book legend Stan Lee, the man behind X-Men, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, and Graphic India co-founder and CEO, Sharad Devarajan.
Titled as Chakra the Invincible and set in Mumbai, this will be Stan Lee’s first Indian project. The film will be jointly produced by Graphic India, a character entertainment company, Lee’s POW! Entertainment and Phantom Films.

The film will narrate the story of Raju, a boy from Mumbai whose mentor develops a suit that activates the chakras of the human body, and gives the user superpowers.
Many famed Hollywood superhero films like The Amazing Spider—Man, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk are based on Lee’s creations. He told PTI that Motwane was an ‘amazingly talented filmmaker who could make the Chakra film a massive hit in India and around the world. Motwane, who penned the script of acclaimed Bollywood film Dev D, has directed two films – Udaan and Lootera – in the past.
Phantom Films is backed by filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Motwane and Madhu Mantena.
