Since its first-look poster in December, Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming action drama Trance directed by the National Award-winning Anwar Rasheed, has been the subject of several conjectures. Primarily because there’s been complete silence around the film from its makers.
Speaking to Times Of India, Fahadh said that the film was the biggest one of his career and that he would be able to talk about the movie better when it neared release. He also said he believed that the audience would get to see something they have not seen before as far as his character is concerned. “We still have another schedule of 60 to 70 days left to shoot,” he added. The first look poster, which was released last December, features Fahadh seated on what appears to be a cot, with two pairs of legs hanging right above him.
The film is scripted by Vadakkan Vincent, and produced by Rasheed himself, under the banner Anwar Rasheed Entertainments. Other actors in the film are Vinayakan, Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod, Sreenath Bhasi and Alphonse Puthran. Apart from direction and production, Rasheed has also done the cinematography for the film.

There were also rumours about Fahadh playing a priest in the film, but there is no official statement from the filmmakers. It is the second venture together for Fahadh and Anwar, as the duo previously worked together with Anchu Sundarikal. Rasheed’s last project was the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Ustad Hotel in 2012, six years ago, which is yet another reason for Trance enjoying the hype it does.
The film was first scheduled to be released in February 2018, then postponed to April 2018. It was further delayed and now it’s anyone’s guess as to when it will hit the screens. However, we can’t wait!
