Actress Hansika Motwani has been approached to play the female lead in Kodiveeran. Directed by Muthiah of Komban fame, the film has Sasikumar in the lead role.
This is Sasikumar’s second film with Muthiah. They earlier collaborated for Kutti Puli, that had Lakshmi Menon as female lead.

According to a report in TOI, a source says talks are on to rope in the Bogan actress, but nothing has been finalised yet.
The team is also in talks with other actresses for the female lead.
The film will be set in a rural background. The first schedule will be shot in Sivagangai.
Meanwhile, Hansika is busy shooting for her Malayalam debut, Villian along with actors Mohanlal, Vishal, Raashi Khanna.
