Expectations have been high ever since her last release Zero, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Aanand L Rai and featuring Anushka Sharma, the movie was universally panned save for Kaif’s performance. Her turn as Babita Kumari, an alcoholic actress fresh off from a break-up, won unanimous praise.
She had also been signed on by Rohith Shetty to star in his Sooryavanshi. Featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead, the movie is about ATS chief Veer Sooryavanshi. The movie also marks her collaboration with Akshay Kumar after a gap of nine years.
