KJR Studios Confirms That Sivakarthikeyan Starrer ‘Hero’ Will Release As Planned

Sivakarthikeyan At The 'Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja' Audio Launch

Speculations that the Sivakarthikeyan starrer Hero will not be hitting the screens as scheduled were suddenly widespread on social media. Rumour was that the Madras High Court had issued a stay order on the release of the film and that the production house of Hero, KJR Studios, had to pay a sum of ten crores as debt. Now, the company has refuted the rumours and confirmed that the film will hit screens as planned on 20 December, 2019.

TSR Films Private Limited had reportedly given a loan of ten crores to RD Raja of 24 AM Studios who is claimed to have utilised the funds for the Sivakarthikeyan starrer and later entrusted the project to KJR Studios according to Cleatuss Fredrick Henry, TSR Films representative. But KJR Studios has confirmed that no other production house other than itself was involved in the film right from scratch and that the allegations are only an attempt to tarnish the reputation of the production house. A representative also told the press that action would be taken on TSR Films for the same.

KJR Studios took to Twitter to release a statement regarding the issue.

The film was earlier embroiled in a controversy over the title Hero between Tribal Arts and KJR Studios with each claiming they had rights over it (the other movie with the same title is a sports film starring Vijay Deverakonda).
