Musician and actor Meesai Murugesan passed away at his home on Saturday due to multiple-organ failure. The 87-year-old shot to fame by creating a lot of offbeat musical instruments using uncommon things like coconut shells. One of his popular contributions was the sound of horse hooves that he created for the song, Rajavin Paarvai Raniyin Pakkam.
According to The New Indian Express, Murugesan was bedridden the last 10 years of his life as he was severely injured in a road accident in South Africa.
Murugesan has acted in 25 films.
