Radhikaa Sarathkumar is all set to play a bus driver in an upcoming Tamil film titled Ippadai Vellum. Directed by Gaurav Narayanan of Thoonga Nagaram (2011) fame, the actress has reportedly been preparing for her role, for nearly two weeks. She insists that she would do the driving of the vehicle herself.
Besides being a bus driver, her character is also mother to the hero of the film, Udhayanidhi Stalin. The film also stars Manjima Mohan in the lead. Produced by Lyca Productions, Ippadai Vellum will feature actors Soori, Daniel Balaji, and producer-turned-actor RK Suresh, in supporting roles, with music composed by D Imman.
The film also marks Gaurav’s third venture as a director, focusing on comedy as opposed to the genre of drama and action from his first two films.

Meanwhile, apart from this film, Radikaa has a few films in the pipeline including a Malayalam one with actor Dileep. Titled Ramleela, the film marks her return to Mollywood after 24 years. She will essay the role of Dileep’s mother in the film, in which he will play an MLA in Kerala. She will also be producing a film starring Vijay Antony, and will reveal details about it soon.
