Actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin announced on Twitter that his production house Red Giant Movies will be distributing actor Santhanam’s upcoming film, Inimey Ippadithaan. There were several reports suggesting that Santhanam and Udhayanidhi Stalin fell apart due to a difference of opinion during the filming of Nanbenda. However, the duo was visibly happy at the audio launch of Inimey Ippadithaan.
Also, while several website portals reported that the movie will be distributed by Red Giant Movies, at a press meet held recently, Santhanam refused to confirm that the movie will be distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin. Instead, he said, “This is the first time I will be taking care of the production and distribution process. Since, I am producing the movie, it does not make sense for me to sell the distribution rights to a different person as it would mean I am not confident with my project. But, we don’t know what would happen towards the release.”
Further, it was reported that most of the movies produced and distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies do not get tax exemption. So the makers had thus planned to receive the tax exemption and then sell the distribution rights.
Inimey Ippadithan, helmed by duo Murugan and Premanand (Muruganand) stars Santhanam, Ashna Zaveri and Akila Kishore in the lead roles. Produced by Santhanam’s Handmade Films, this film has been scheduled to release on June 12. Actors Thambi Ramaiah and VTV Ganesh are a part of the supporting cast. Music director Santhosh Dayanidhi, cinematographer Gopi Jagadeshwaran and editor Anthony L Ruben belong to the technical team.
