Simmba’s first-look was released last year in December, revealing Ranveer Singh dressed as a cop and looking animated.

The film will release on December 28 this year. Last year, reports suggested that the name of the film would be My Name Is Lakhan, in which Ranveer would play a corrupt cop. Reports also suggested that it would be a remake of Junior NTR’s Temper, for which Shetty had bought the rights. However, the director was quick to clarify that he would only include four to five scenes from Temper, and that his movie isn’t exactly a remake.
The film is jointly produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions.
