Actor Saurabh Shukla, last seen in Shankar’s Anniyan, has been roped in to play an integral role in actor Santhanam’s next film. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, Saurabh Shukla has a positive role, although according to sources, Shukla’s character will oppose Santhanam’s character in parts. Shooting began on November 16 and the team is likely to film on locations near Chennai and Puducherry.

Directed by Ram Bala, of Lollu Sabha fame, the film is reportedly a horror comedy. Actor Santhanam will sport a bearded look. Newcomer Shanaya plays the female lead in the film. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Deepak Kumar Pathi, and music director S Thaman.
Saurabh Shukla won a National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the Hindi film Jolly LLB. He also played a key role in Kamal Haasan’s Hey Ram.
