Shruti Haasan, who has been busy hosting television shows, is said to be in talks to star in Chiranjeevi’s historical drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
According to a report in a Tamil daily, the makers of the film are planning to cast Shruti, and talks are on. It is also said that she is being considered for a substantial role. It is presumed that she will take up the offer, as she has not had a release in the past two years. However, an official confirmation is yet to come in this regard.
Earlier, it was reported that Shruti has signed a romantic drama with Vijay Sethupathi, directed by National Award-winning director SP Jananathan. The director is known to make films with hard-hitting themes and strong female leads, and Vijay Sethupathi keeps experimenting with genres.

The film is a spy-comedy adventure, where Kamal Haasan reprises the role of Balram Naidu, a spin off of one of the characters he played in Dasavathaaram (2008). The film also stars Ramya Krishnan and Brahmanandam.
