Sivakarthikeyan-Ravikumar Film ‘SK 14’ Resumes Shoot After A Long Gap

Sivakarthikeyan At The 'Hero' Audio And Trailer Launch

This week, on Tuesday, Sivakarthikeyan‘s next with Indru Netru Naalai fame director R Ravikumar tentatively titled SK 14 commenced with its next schedule. The news came from a tweet by RD Raja‘s 24 AM Studios, the production house bankrolling the film. The film which went on floors at the end of June 2018 had wrapped up the fourth schedule of the film last March. The entire shoot will wrap up after two schedules.

The yet-to-be-titled sci-fi bilingual film reportedly has Hollywood technicians and is being made on a big budget with high-end equipment. An Alexa LF camera, which is particularly used in Hollywood, has been used for filming the project, marking the first Tamil film to make use of a hi-tech camera. It is noteworthy that the Ajay Devgn, Junior NTR, and Ram Charan starrer RRR helmed by SS Rajamouli is also using the same for the film.


Rakul Preet Singh will be seen romancing the actor in SK 14. While Sivakarthikeyan reportedly plays a farmer in the film, Rakul Preet will be seen as a working woman. Apart from the lead pair, the film also stars Karunakaran, Yogi Babu, Bala Saravanan, Isha Koppikar, Bhanu Priya, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru fame Kothandam, and Ram-Leela fame Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles. AR Rahman is composing the music, cinematography is by Nirav Shah, art is by T Muthuraj, stunt is by Anbariv and costumes by Neerajaa Kona.

The team has reportedly shot across Chennai, Hyderabad and Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh. The title of the film will soon be announced by the makers.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan will also be seen in Doctor which recently commenced with shoot. Helmed by Kolamaavu Kokila fame Nelson Dilipkumar, the film co-stars actor Priyanka Mohan. His previous outing Hero is now streaming on Amazon Prime. The action-thriller by PS Mithran that spoke of the business of education and destruction of intellectual property saw Sivakarthikeyan playing the role of a superhero in the film.
