Sundarapandiyan fame director S R Prabhakaran’s next has a new title. The film, initially titled Mudi Sooda Mannan, has now been re-named Sathriyan. According to reports, the makers approached Vijayakanth, the star of yesteryear hit of the same name, for his permission in using the title for this new movie.
The film has Vikram Prabhu and Manjima Mohan in the lead roles, and will be a rural comedy entertainer.
Reports of the film’s change in title have been in circulation for some time now. The team had planned to unveil the new title through its first look poster on Janary 1st, 2017. But as with all things these days, the title and first look were leaked, prompting director SR Prabhakaran to announce the new title on his official Twitter account.

Sathriyan is produced by Sathya Jyoti Films and will see Aishwarya Dutta and Kavin play supporting roles. The Yuvan Shankar Raja musical is scheduled for a mid-2017 release.
