Actress Tamannaah, who is basking in the success of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, is said to have been approached to play the female lead in director Ameer’s upcoming film starring STR. If sources are to be believed, this will mark STR and Tamannaah’s first time partnership on screen.
Also, we learn that music director Anirudh Ravichander, who is busy with Vignesh Shivan’s Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, has been approached as well. According to Deccan Chronicle, the movie has been titled Mersal. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
Director Ameer’s previous directorial, Aadhi Bagavan featuring Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra received critical acclaim, but did middling business at the box office.
